As the co-host of a website with literally dozens of visitors, many times I am asked “What’s your political affiliation?” My answer is always the same. “What’s an affiliation? Why do presidents always pre-empt my favorite shows? And why do cats think they’re so much better than us?”
Truth be told, I’m kind of a Republicratarian. Though some politicians are capable of helping the country, I don’t think any one party has it all figured out. I don’t think there’s such a thing as a politician, or group of politicians, that can solve the world’s problems. That’s more up to us than it is up to them. Just the thought of waiting for a bunch of lobbyist-loving hand shakers to address the world’s problems when I can volunteer my time, blood, sweat and tears to the things that matter to me is depressing.
Back to the cats. If an animal can be born evil, it’s cats, specifically, Chinese pole cats. Look, if your question is, “Doug, who will you vote for on election day?”, I can tell you for certain – definitely not a cat.
