I'm a loner, and hurt is what I get ( as always expected ) from others. I'm 18 and i usually in the sides or corners of my room, hiding from people who I know would hurt me so much.. :(
I hope you went on to listen to the next video about how to know God. I have been very alone and hurt in my life too. God gave me a new start, He showed me how much I am worth in Him and healed my heart. I pray that you will experience God's love which doesn't compare to any human's love and that He will heal your hurts. Spend time with Him and get to know him.
Well, just do what is right. God is always watching you.. and He will never leave you. God is our father, that's why He knows what's best for us. Just try to communicate with other people and be friends, 'cause if you're alone, Satan will attack you just like an innocent sheep being attacked by a hungry lion. ^_^

is this the theory of original sin? because that is the most cynical faithless perception of human nature and i find it disturbing.... i want to be able to understand why a person can only be good with supernatural influence and not our own making
Hi lindsay :) All people are created in God's image. God is a wonderful, loving, compassionate God. So we as humans have the desire to be like Him (to be good), and we are able to do good. However, God is perfect, holy. He has never sinned/messed up/done anything wrong. He can't allow any blemish or mess up to be in his presence because it completely goes against his character. So if a person even tells one tiny little lie, he is no longer perfect. The Bible says that every single person has messed up and fallen short of God's standard. He loves us soo much and wants us to be close to Him that He made a way for that to be possible. The way is through Jesus. Jesus died so that His blood could pay for our mess ups (sins) making us perfect in God's sight so that we could have a personal relationship with God. So we are capable of doing good, but good is not good enough to be made right with God. Only believing in Jesus can supernaturally clean you and make you new. Hope that helps!
When I'm hurt, I remember that God is always with me and I pray for comfort. This is not always the case though, sometimes I hold grudges and let that pain deepen within me, which usually ends up in the other person getting hurt as well. I just want to encourage everybody that in hard times, REMEMBER GOD. Remember what Jesus went through and how he endured it all, because he TRUSTED God. well im kinda really confused about this whole god thing. i had my confirmation last year and im not sure if im completely committed to my faith. like im not sure if i believe in this or not. idk what to do.
Vicky, I'm glad you are thinking through this. Believing or not believing in God is a very important decision. First, the Bible says that the only way to be saved is by believing in Jesus and asking Him to be your Savior. Nothing else can save you or make you good enough. My advice to you is to read the Bible daily. Ask God to open your eyes and mind to understand. Ask God to help you with your unbelief. Write down what you read in a journal. Do this everyday and see what happens. Hope that helps!
