hey its a quirky video but it gets a life-changing message across and i am totally loving it. He changed my life too. if you ever wonder if God can really pull you out of ANY mess, message me sometime. i will testify to His divine authority and most of all His love and mercies. He set me free from the bondages of drugs and an overall self-satisfying lifestyle. which is no satisfaction anyway. but I'm here....
This video drew me in with the message about popularity and conformity and the cool stop-motion. But it totally lost me with all the BS about Jesus. As a lifelong atheist who made the popularity realization, I think my life is completely awesome WITHOUT JESUS, and the Christianity BS that so many people try to hammer into my head. But I just make sure that I wear a really good helmet ^_^
I never hear him say in this video you can't be having fun in life without Jesus, but that the best place to go to find out how valuable you are is to the One who made you! Also didn't hear him say a word about "Christianity" BS, he talked about Jesus.
Whether you wear a good "helmet" or not doesn't change the fact we'll all have to stand before God one day and give account of what we did with the fact that He gave His Son as a sacrifice for the sin of our life.
"Amen" to the Jesus BS. I really doubt there is a "God" for one, and second of all. If he's so "All seeing" and he -watches- you commit sins, well Guilty by association for "God" in my book. Judge that.
"All will have to give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead". (1 Peter 4:5). Please be ready to share your thoughts about Almighty God with Him one day.
Whether those that He made doubt Him or not does not change the truth of His existence and goodness.
Alright, listen. He's sending a good message by telling you about the whole popularity thing, but just let people live their own lives. I, personally, do not believe in any sort of god, but let people believe what they want to. Coming on with this "I know everything and you're wrong" bull is just wrong. I mean, wouldn't it piss you off if someone came up to you and said there was no god, that he was definitely right and there was nothing you could do about it? Please, just let people make their own decisions. Don't push your own beliefs upon the masses when, truthfully, the possibility that you are wrong is just as large as the possibility that I am.
I don't see why, if she/he wanted us to believe in him/her, that they didn't leave clearer signs. I mean, yeah, intelligent design, blah blah blah, but I'm talking about recent things. If a benevolent god really existed, there wouldn't be wars, or poverty, or hunger, or sickness. Of course, I would like to hear a Christian's opinion on this.
Clearer signs than the unbelievably complex creations of the universe and our DNA? Something recent? Take a look at this link of "recent" Hubble telescope pictures: http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/.
The reason God and evil can exist at the same time is because He made people to have their OWN WILL and to make their own decisions. He's too great a God to make us all robots. And people make destructive decisions! The good news is there is a time coming, according to God's Word, where all crying an suffering and pain and wars will end for good.
If you're truly interested, check this out from God's Word: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%207:16-17&version=NIV
Good question! But you're only in trouble if you use your free will to shake your fist at the One who made You by not accepting the gift of His Son Jesus. Check out the "God" page to hear more!
the reason their are wars, poverty, hunger, and sickness is because sin. people brought it upon themselves by disobeying God, and He is caring, but He is also holy, and that means He has to judge us. thats why He gives us the Bible and He gave His son, as a way for us to be forgiven and escape the otherwise inevitable judgement
My opinion is that we created that mess. When adam and eve disobeyed god sin started . then later people made bad desicions . People started killng each other and that started war. my point is that god is not the one to blame. we started this mess and we ned to get ourselves back out. it is not his fault. it is ours.
Personally before I was total Christian I began to question God. I wondered why there was War and hate and hunger and pain of all sorts. Then about 2 months ago of this year I was listening to a poet and she talked about The Story of the Garden of Eden and how it affects today. I came to my own personal conclusion (you may disagree, this is only my opinion) that without all those things we might have taken God for granted. I mean think about it. If our parents always gave us a cookie everyday whether we did something good or bad it wouldn't be special. But if we did something that was good and our parent took us to a bakery to pick out any cookie we wanted because we did something good then it's special...
I I took God for granted while my life was goodand then something horrible happened. I went to the Lord and He gave me friends to help me through something that happened to me. I thank God for that, without them I would have resorted to something dangerous. Now when something good happens I thank God. So it'll all your opinion guys. But from my life experience I most likely would be in my fantastic position w/o him.
Thanks for the comment, Kate. Actually, if you really look into it, it would be impossible for man to write the Bible on his own without God truly as the Author. "Prophecy never had it's origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:20-21). If you're truly interested in getting to the bottom of this, please take a look at this: http://www.allabouttruth.org/who-wrote-the-bible.htm. Thanks again for your comment!
Your right, the bible is written by humans. But the bible was written by humans with the Holy Spirit in them. Those people in the bible were told by God and Jesus (God's son)what to write.
yeah youll be sorry your an atheist when you are called before God. but im sure in the backof your mind somewere you arelonging to become closer to Jesus
Cool video. Nice story, relativetly inspiring. Ruined the whole thing by saying connected to Jesus though. LOL at religion, but other then that it was awesome
Hey, we've gotta be honest, LOL! Jesus Christ transformed our lives when nothing and no one else could! So we've gotta tell ya, right? BTW, you're right, LOL at religion (man made)...we follow Christ.
Why do you say jesus... isnt GOD the almighty? why does it seem that jesus is better than god in a christians eyes. when god is "Allknowing" and the creator of all? i dont understand ...
That is a great question, Arrik. You are right, God is the Almighty, to a Christian as well. According to the Bible, Jesus is God's Son, and is also considered God. The Bible says God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are One, so, according to God Almighty's book, it wouldn't be correct to elevate one above the other. Christians talk a lot about Jesus because according to God the Father, Jesus was sent as the only way for us to be forgiven by God Almighty and to have a relationship with Him. John 3:16 in the Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life". THANKS for the great question.
i always thought that Jesus and God were the same almighty beings... the only thing that was different between them is that Jesus was in a sort of human form... I'm only in 8th grae and sorry if I'm wrong.
no bay, he is God the son but came in human flesh to die for our sins coz the bible says there has to be blood for there to be forgiveness, and only jesus'blood is pure enough coz he has no sin in him.
It's not that Jesus is BETTER than God...it's that Jesus IS God. Christians believe that the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit together are the one being called "God". Therefor Jesus is God.
god and Jesus happen to be the same person,,, Jesus is god in the form of the "son" one isn't proffered better than the other... its that jesus was the one that every one saw but they still dont notice that jesus and god are the same
Yes God is the almight. The thing is that Jesus, God, and the Holy ghost are all one entity, but are separated so that they can play different roles. Jesus was the son that God sent down here to save our sorry buts from burning for all of eternity in hell. God is the judge that every person will have to face someday. When Jesus was sent down here to die an excruciating death for our sins he became the mediator between us and God.
Going to church doesn't mean you know anything. It only means something if you take it in and exhibit that in your life. Sorry if I seem mean but I think too often that people think that they are saved just because they go to church and are good people.
and the holy ghost isnt the same either...trust me they are all diffrent. your prolly not going to take any more thought into this. and your prolly going to say "OH he is sooo stupid, he doesnt know anything!" (yes HE not she) I know what i have to be true.
P.S. it doesnt matter who is better...god is the creator of all. jesus doesnt want to be better than him either. its his father sheesh
You're right they are different but you must agree that God created both the Holy Spirit and Jesus. So doesn't that make them apart of God thus equaling that they are like God? Just let me know if I'm wrong guys.
Gah again another comment, the bible DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE THE SAME. THEY ARE NOT ONE AS IN THE SAME THING. they are all working on the same goal and such but they are NOT the same people.
Like you said, in terms of Jesus/God the Jesus stated: "I and the Father are One" (John 10:30) However, this does not mean that they are one being, it means that they are one in purpose. Much like you would say that a man and his spouse are one.
Brendan-everyone's entitled to their opinion, but look around! All that's been created (starting with you) with all the compexity...all the lives He has changed, millions and millions of lives...I'd say He's real!
Maybe because he wanted to watch the video, because he saw the title "Popularity is Overrated" and was more interested in that topic than learning that Jesus will save us... Yeah, of course it was an all powerful entity who chose to put in the back of one mans head to watch a video. Seriously... Of course thats what happened. Otherwise, you would have ignored it completely. Its the only explanation.
It was good, but I have to disagree with the ending. I have nothing against Christianity, and if Jesus worked with you overcoming not fitting in, that's great. I beleive different things work for different people, and all people have their own methods of finding a way to fit in.
I don't think he was trying to talk about what worked for him, I think he is saying you can only find your true identity from the One who made you and according to God's Book that is Jesus.
I saw this via an advertisement on Facebook. God forbid we advertised atheism, people would get pissed off. I'm not saying God is bad, I'm saying if they're going to allow Religious advertisements, atheists should be allowed to advertise too.
Hi Dan, thanks for the comments. Just to reply to your question/comments...Jon and I aren't really trying to talk about religion (which can be made up of lots of man-made ideas) at all.
We just happen to have found truth that has transformed our lives when nothing else could, and that truth is Jesus Christ...not some list of man-made rules, not some church building...Jesus Himself.
If you check out the rest of the site, you'll see we talk and laugh about lots of different stuff. If we're going to be real, though, we also want to share with friends the most important relationship we have in our lives. Thanks again for your comments.
I got sent to this video from an ad, and began to watch it with glee. I have many a stupid pleasure, stop-motion videos being one of them. I watched it, and all seemed fine, until suddenly...
"...oh, and I accepted Jesus into my life."
That kinda ruined it for me. The religious element seemed so forced, even to ME. But, to each their own?
Hey, thanks for your comments. Please check out the response above to someone with your same concerns. Jon and I aren't interested in any religious "elements", only Jesus Christ.
Actually, when we talk about how God has completely changed our lives and given us purpose, it's the furthest thing from "forced" for us - He naturally flows out of our conversation because He's the center of our lives, the most important relationship in our lives.
Who ever forces Christianity on to you shouldn't do that...God called me and I'm with Him all the way. If God didn't call you then that's okay...maybe he is idk. Anyway Atheist, just like the ending of the video ruined the message for you you posting what you did is kinda ruining the video of some of us...just asking that if you disagree maybe you shouldn't post a message...just saying.
wow. seemingly hip video style is only a ploy to bring "heathens" to the "savior" that burns nonconformists in hell for all eternity. gee, i sure am scared now.
GREAT video! I didn't hear the guy in it say ANYTHING about "heathens" or "burns" or "nonconformists" or that you should be "scared"! All I heard Him say about God at all was that He CHANGED his life! Are you sure you watched the same video I just did?!
It takes much more of a "nonconformist" to give their life to the One that loved them enough to give His life for them. ANYONE can decide to do whatever in the world they feel like doing, THAT is conformity. Only someone with guts and courage that's willing to be a "nonconformist" could really decide to live for God and not themself.
So following Jesus was a result of not trying to fit in?
Not to be mean, but Christianity is one of the most wide-spread religions. Becoming Christian isn't exactly not fitting in (Double negative, but you know what I mean).
This video just makes it seem like becoming Christian makes you cool, nice, and an all-around respectable person.
I'm an atheist, but I don't go around punching people in the face and cussing everyone out.
Christianity, I respect. The 'High-and-mighty' christian attitude? Not really, I don't respect that.
--
Other than that, It was a well-animated video and you're very good at making stop-motion videos (: Keep up the good video work.
Ryan, thanks for the thoughtful comments. Lots of people do say they're "Christians", but not many really follow Jesus - that's why you run into some religious people with a bad attitude. I don't respect that attitude either, in fact, it drives me crazy.
You're right. Just because you're an atheist doesn't mean you go around hurting people! EVERYONE, including followers of Christ, are capable of hurting others. That's why it's JESUS I follow, not His followers, who sometimes mess up big time.
Jesus didn't die for me to make me "nice"...He died so I wouldn't have to pay for my own sin, so that I could accept the gift of being forgiven by God.
-Lots of people do say they're "Christians", but not many really follow Jesus - that's why you run into some religious people with a bad attitude.- Haha, like televangelists? Those people abuse and use their God so they can get money. They should become like non-profit organizations, and help the people who actually -need- the money
-not His followers, who sometimes mess up big time.- Reminds me of the Catholic church. XP I was a practicing Catholic for 13 years, until my friend, who had recently become agnostic at that time, talked to me about it, and why I was Catholic. To me, I had become Catholic because I was indoctrinated by my parents to believe in it, like so many others. I remember when I was younger, I would question a lot of things about the church, like 'why do people dress up when they go to church?'. I felt really out of place in there, but I tried to fit in so I wouldn't feel left out. I didn't understand any of it back then.
I was also raised going to school in a Catholic private school, from K-8th grade. Through 8th grade, I was an atheist. I felt out of place, but religion is sort of like sexual orientation. You can lie to yourself and say you're one thing, but you know deep inside what you really are. It just might take some experimenting and (at least for religion) research.
I felt a lot better when a girl somehow found me through a website and found out I was atheist, and it leaked out to her (and my) friends. I didn't have to lie to them (because I wasn't going to lie to myself... I felt even worse when I did that) anymore.
I'm now 14, becoming a freshman in high school, and strongly atheist (With some pastafarian mixed in ;-)).
Ryan, couldn't agree w/you more about televangelists. Many of them drag Jesus' Name through the mud with the stupid things they say and do.
I had TONS of questions too, about church, why people did stuff the way they did, and I finally figured out that some people MAKE STUFF UP and call it from God when it isn't at all.
Ryan, I'd love it if you'd consider going to the "God" page, and click on "Hear Doug". You can hear some of my own struggles and thoughts about hypocrites/politics, etc. vs. what Jesus is about. If you decide to check it out, let me know what you think!
Eloquently put, I ryan was raised Jewish as a child and am going through what you seem to have at Catholic school. Stay in there bud, knowing yourself (whether on the religious or atheist stance) Is what truly matters.
While knowing who you are is important, God's Book says the only thing that really matters on a forever, eternal level is whether you choose to receive the gift of His Son Jesus as a sacrifice for our sin. That will be the only thing that matters to God when each of us stands before Him...while knowing yourself is good, only knowing Jesus will mean Heaven.
I am a teenager and I see what this man is pointing out in people everyday, and I totally agree with him. At an early age I accepted Jesus as my Savior and now he's like my best friend. Listen to this everyone: "God doesn't guarrentee life will be easy, but he promises he will bring us through." -Louis Giglio. I agree with Louis 100%, and I believe in God and his power OVER 100%. If your a music lover, listen to Newsboys, they're great!
You're wrong, you mean highschool popularity. I'm different than everyone else, and everyone loves me and dreams about becoming me. That's why you have to stop being "Normal" and start being freaky. I don't believe in jesus, or god and people love me.
Thanks for the comments, Tobii. If you watch the video again, you'll probably notice Jon agrees with the first part of your comment. Don't have to be "normal" or "freaky"...be yourself!
You made a great point, too. Actually, believing and LIVING for Jesus can make you LESS popular than ever. Don't follow Him if your dream is everybody liking you!
It's not easy following Him, especially when people give you a hard time about it. Ultimately, I think Jon's point here is find your identity in the One that MADE you, and then WHO CARES what anyone else thinks?
I dont like to criticize or to judge people, but i myself believe in the holy trinity of GOD, Jesus and the Holy spirit. Those people who don't believe there is anything out there any greater being they need to take a look around at all the people, all the things we have, all the mountains and forests, no human could have created such wonderful things only a divine being could. In the end though if you do not believe in any greater being were will you go, just die and that's it? If so why not be open to the option that there is a possibility that one day you may have to face GOD to get into heaven, if there is nothing after death why not be open to the option that there may be something and you can go for it!
I am 15 years old and am a confirmed Catholic-Christian.
BTW I am not your conventional christian, i cannot agree more with many of the points of how Christians are, but sometimes people make it a stereotype ( and those are never good). I don't run around scaring people about hell or performing miracles but i do believe that GOD and Jesus can heal you and the only way to feel complete in life is to have that relationship with GOD. It will take you on the path of compassion , empathy and Chivalry.
Also take the time to read through the Bible John 3:16 is a great place to start, i don't care if you believe in God or not just take a look and think about everything.
My priest once said. The BIBLE is your B asic I nstructions B efore L eaving Earth
Thank you for reading this, God loves you no matter what.
I believe in Jesus, but not the concept of religion ive been growing up in all my life....i try to learn other religions and practice there ideas but "Christianity" tells me thats wrong which is total bs
Christians are ignorant mostly because the bible teaches us to be more like Jesus but they just get further from that every day. It seems like we go to church on Sunday (or Saturday) to gossip at spread drama....
I love Jesus and humanity....even if you dont believe what i believe...im not going to say your wrong cause i could very well be wrong myself...
Thanks for the comments, Bill. I agree with you that there are some people who say they are Christians that aren't very much like Jesus at all. There are many who ARE like Him, though! That's why I always try to keep in mind that Jesus said to follow HIM, not just any person that says they are a follower of His.
Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father (gets to Heaven) but through Me". (John 14:6) No religion, ideas or anything else can promise Heaven...only Jesus Himself.
Glad to hear you love humanity, Bill - so does God! Thanks again for your comments.
I love the point you made in the video. I admit I have been struggling a lot in my life and even when I'm super down the only comfort I find is in Jesus. If he is not real then nothing is real. The main question I have for the anti-Christians is to ask why you so desperately want your life to be lived just for earthly pleasures when you could be living it for the one who created you and loves you more than any of us could imagine. If any of you would like to chat with me via e-mail or whatever to try and prove me wrong I would love the opportunity and I'm sure thousands of others would. If you give me that chance I won't be out to prove you wrong. I simply want to give you the opportunity to share with me the best part of my life. JESUS. The last thing I have to say is that what you don't know can hurt you and I don't want that to happen to anyone. If you were given a package and someone told you there was a bomb inside wouldn't you rather find out for sure than to ignore them because you thought they were crazy? Rather extreme comparison, but I am just trying to show how important an issue this is and how much I (and my brothers in Christ) wish to at least have a chance at.
P.S. Sorry for the length. I just have an endless amount to say on this topic. And btw I agree, amazing video
People are so into popularity, but I don't have that problem because I got my way: I don't give a F*ck. People want to be like me because I am trying to organize events, parties, and people want to be like me. I am not following anyone, and not befreinding anyone, and that is my way personally. And how did you get in the discussion of jesus? that was completely unrelated.
Thanks for the comments, Nick. Actually, Jesus is not only related to Jon's life and this story, He's the center of it. I think the point Jon's trying to make that he finds his ultimate identity in the One who created him, therefore no need to try to please other people in trying to be popular. Thanks again for the comments.
Can propaganda transform millions of lives and grow stronger and stronger over the course of 2000 years while so many have tried to destroy it? Can a historical figure with more proof for His existence than any other person from that time be fictional? Only to those who don't bother to learn the facts.
Yes, it can. As long as people NEED something to believe in there will always be religion. There are many religions in the world, not all of them can be right although everyone believes their religion to be the correct one. "Join us or perish in hell for all of eternity." Being as Christianity is the largest followed religion at this time (33% I believe) it seems like the "popular" thing would be to jump on the bandwagon. I don't know why Christians think that they are the minority and that people view it as the "uncool" thing to do when most people, especially in America, are Christian, have a Christian background, or follow another religion that somehow excludes them from the condescending eyes of the righteous.
If you want to be unique, how about using your sophisticated evolved brain? How about expanding on thoughts instead of dwelling on one theory of the past? It takes a lot of guts to question your religion. If you do take my advice you will begin to notice what I mean. I dare you to utter the words Atheist or Agnostic in front of your peers.
Paul, I'm sorry but you are the one who needs to learn the facts. Talking snakes and burning bushes don't exist. We were not created in a magical garden, and sin was not created because Adam and Eve ate an evil fruit. I didn't even need to think to answer that one. However, I do believe I read something disproving those four things you call facts once... "Logic for First Graders" I think the name was.
Dear Jesse, You are probably the only person i know that i can say this to: You are the most open minded closed minded person i know. I just thought that you should know that. Love Sarah.
ps- dont say that christians havent expanded on thoughts/ views of religion. its not something i believe in just because its the popular thing and something that my parents believe. i have gone on a longgg hard journey seeking what i believe in, and i have given it more thought than you know. its something that i have taken years to build up. I have expanded my thoughts, and yes, have lived believing that there wasnt a god before. i believe from many different experiences in life. dont belittle the christian body as if we are merely brainwashed kids believing in santa. just because you may sit and think more than i do, doesnt mean that i dwell on a theory of the past. I have made my faith my own. and then after you read what ive just written you may say, "no sarah, i know you and i know that that doesnt apply to you. i know that your not the stereotypical christian" i really appreciate that, but your dissing my people jessica. and yes, i do fall into that category. you cant say all other christians minus you. haha butttttt lets agree to disagree. weve never gotten anywhere with this. kay love you bye:-)
You are not the stereotypical Christian but I do categorize you in the same category. I do not mean to belittle Christians, I simply am expressing my thoughts although i'm sure they come out that way.
When I say expand on thought I mean think progressively through your own reality and on your OWN thoughts. I don't care what you or anyone else says, Christianity are not YOUR thoughts. They are the thoughts of previous (uneducated I might add) persons.
Christians are not brainwashed, rather trapped in their own emotions. Fear of hell keeps them from disbelieving and the promise of heaven keeps them believing. Since you brought up the Santa Clause analogy I suppose I should expand on that;
Little impressionable kids believe in Santa because of the promise of presents. They are too afraid to not believe in him, however, for fear of coal in their stalkings.
Christianity is a textbook example of how to keep people believing and mentally trapped. It doesn't take a genius to know this formula... I think the Santa example proves that point at least. As i said before, Need is not quite belief. People believe in Christianity because they need it.
jeeesssseeee. i dont care what you say or think, i was introduced to the idea of christianity and then from that discovered a god on my own. MY FAITH MY THOUGHTS. you cant tell me whats my own thought and whats not. your not inside my head.
im not trapped in my own emotions. ive never had a chance to really have fear of hell, because i have always believed that i was going to heaven, whether it was because i was taught that or had finally discovered it for myself. i believe in god because i have a relationship with him. i know you think im a crazy kid saying oh ive met god because we both know that ive never physically met god. but in a way, i have. and i want soo badly to be able to explain it to you and show it to you and prove it to you. but we both know i cant. i am never going to be able to express god through words. I am never going to be the one to introduce god to you. and thats why you think its so strange and cult like. i cant speak it in math terms to you and say, heres x, heres the answer. no i cant. god is something that one has to discover for themselves, and i cant do that for you. now im just rambling and going off topic. okay im better at this in person. ill finish this convo with you later in personn
Interesting discussions here! Jesse, Pocahantas has a point here - as much as you'd like to explain away Jesus and Christianity as a "fear" or "need to believe something", etc. there are Millions and millions of people who will tell you they simply LOVE GOD because He loves us enough to give us life and an opportunity through His Son Jesus to spend forever in Heaven. Not fear. Not blind thoughtlessness. An overwhelming desire to follow Him because we LOVE Him.
He won't force Himself on you - the only way to know what others have experienced in Him is to give yourself to Him...otherwise yes, it's going to seem like craziness to you.
Just be yourself, and don't piss people off or annoy them. And keep improving yourself. Learn to play an instrument, or get good at a sport, or SOMETHING. People will flock to you . Its not hard! U got it down man. Props
I do computer stuff like programming and hardware engineering. That's just a hobby but it reminds me to be myself. So when I'm around other people I just 'chillax' and be my self.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
Yeah, except ol' Epicurus forgot the whole thing about God creating us to have FREE WILL and make our own choices. Would Eppy have preferred He make us robots so no one could do evil? No God who is willing to give us the gift of an indescribably awesome eternity with Him through His Son Jesus when all of humanity has shaken their fist at Him could be evil. Sorry, Ep. Old, tired, easily proven wrong rant from someone looking for an excuse to not worship the One that made him.
Way cool bro.... but I found this out by myself... sort of when i was in Six grade I had my own style but still i was made fun of i was call Girl, Fag mean afful names that would ruin someone although i had 15inch long hair... I am a luthrian and my veiws on god and jesus tend to be simple. I dont offten go to church and dont consiter myyself to be a religous freak although i can stand when people Taught and tease others for their look or religon... Im always temided of that Six through 8th grade experiance When i started to stand up for the teased people started to come to me with there problems with out me asking "whats wrong" or "hows things going" Just want to say that your story is very true..... As Jesus stude up for his belifes and helped the weak so to have i become a simlar figuare in my school with out being the whole savior from god thing and some people call me jesus (because i use to have 15 inch long hair). i wish more people could heard this story.
I have to say I liked this video and was very surprised that it so openly talked about Jesus. People say that being Christian is popular because of the percentages of religions, but from my experiences practicing being a true christian is very unpopular/hard. I think the only Christians that are popular are the ones that don't truly practice their faith. But I could be wrong.
Philomena, you couldn't be more right. God's Book says anyone that truly lives for Christ will go through very hard times. But the payoff (Heaven) is worth it!
This video really touched me deep inside, and I have to say that to some people that don't believe in Jesus, or God, or the Holy Ghost, note that we were all raised, either on different religions or none at all. It was our parent's choice, and if Jesus was a lie, we would've probably have found out by now.
God won't just reach out to you and prove himself first thing and start talking to you. Even though I might be wrong, does God show up before everyone and announced he is God and Christianity is true? If he did that, there would still be evil, because people would still doubt it, maybe even force it out of their heads.
You know how I believe in God? I just believe that I am myself and to accept everyone who is different, no matter who they are. Even though I do have kids that try to mess with me, be it race, looks, or maybe they're just bored and want to f*ck with some random kid just to see if he's worth messing with, I still wouldn't want to wish them dead. Even though the thought has crossed my mind of some people being completely evil, there was a reference in the Bible stating that you should keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. What does that mean? Does that mean I want to be friends with these idiots? No, under my view (which could still be wrong), it means that you should wish your enemies well in life and pray for them. Truth is, they could just be miserable people suffering over losses, though I wouldn't call being just miserable to walk around school bullying and intimidating people. People are different, and I have learned to accept people for who they are, I just don't like it when people bag on Christianity and make it look so bad. Real Christians follow their Heart, not their Brain. Sometimes Christians turn out to be gullible people, falling for lies and deceit of others. When you try to think about a situation, understand that Christianity is one's own choice to believe in, and not everything in religion can be explained to the book.
Basically, all I'm saying is, God will only make sense if you believe. A good counterargument to that is that everyone is raised when their young, when their most gullible to believing everything like 'Santa'. To me, Santa is a lie that should have never been brought up, he's not near Godly, and it takes some of the feeling out of Christmas. I'm not afraid of judgement, because one day I believe I will have to stand and commit for the crimes or sins I have committed.
Thank you all for your time, and understand I'm only 15 (turning 16) years old, even though I wrote like a mother****** and probably made the longest post on the page. I could have got many views wrong, seeing as I have not read the Bible in a while, and have not been to Church for even longer. I'm not trying to tell anyone to turn into a Christian. I'm not explaining on these fanatical miracles with you. I'm telling you my opinion and what I think.
Zombine - thanks for the interesting thoughts. God loves you big time. Just want to invite you to click on our "God" page and check out one of the videos about all He's done for us...keep coming back, you sound like an interesting person!
i dont knwo what to believe. my life is hell. i lost my will to live a few months ago but i still live. why does god make me hurt. right now i am broken and wanting to cry im that hurt. nothing about me is right. god doesnt care. thats why he sends so much crap at me. my grandmother or should i call her my mother died and i just celebrated mothers day without her. i miss her terribly. and i dont know what to do next. i dont know who to turn to. and i dont think anyone at home understands me. if god cares how come he lets me suffer. i dont know what to believe anymore, my faith is shaken. i dont know. my friends have turned their backs on me one in particular who stole from me, destroyed everything, and lied to me who wants to get more chances when she has had ten thus far. i want to be a christian but i dont know what to do. any advice on how to handle her. i want to scream at her and beat her ass into the ground. but i dont think people would aprove of that
I know you must be feeling pretty low, maybe lower than you have ever felt in your life. It's true, people we love can hurt us more than anybody, and it sounds like your friend has taken advantage of you and lost your trust. I know the pain of losing somebody close to me, and there is no feeling like it. Sometimes it's hard to look at holidays as anything more than reminders of your loss. I wish I had something to say to make everything better, but I don't. What your feeling is real, and the truth is, sometimes it takes a long time for the pain to subside. All I can say is, I understand.
I will tell you this though, what your going through with your friend is tough, but Jesus say's to follow Him! People will hurt you, and you will find yourself looking for someone to blame, but too often it's easy to blame the one that we should be turning to- God. He is ever merciful, loving, and forgiving, and whether you are hurting over a lost loved one or the betrayal of a friend, he is there for you.
i understand what your saying but i need to know what to do. i dont know if i should still be her friend or not. i dont know if its "Christian" or not to not want to be friends with someone. im new at this whole thing. but this website is really awesome by the way! xD thought id let you know!
Thanks for the compliment! In answer to your question, Jesus told us to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us. The Bible also says that bad company corrupts good morals. If you want God's best, my advice is to find a balance, be close enough to make a difference in her life, but not so close that you get hurt. A really crazy thing to do is to ask her if you can pray with her. That throws em' for a loop, and it shows you care.
God loves evryone. popularity is just a word. everyone is popular in their own way. And everyone at TIBC misses ricky bird. But he is with god now!!! whoop whoop! lol

Whether you wear a good "helmet" or not doesn't change the fact we'll all have to stand before God one day and give account of what we did with the fact that He gave His Son as a sacrifice for the sin of our life.
Whether those that He made doubt Him or not does not change the truth of His existence and goodness.
The reason God and evil can exist at the same time is because He made people to have their OWN WILL and to make their own decisions. He's too great a God to make us all robots. And people make destructive decisions! The good news is there is a time coming, according to God's Word, where all crying an suffering and pain and wars will end for good.
If you're truly interested, check this out from God's Word:

God is the judge that every person will have to face someday. When Jesus was sent down here to die an excruciating death for our sins he became the mediator between us and God.
P.S. it doesnt matter who is better...god is the creator of all. jesus doesnt want to be better than him either. its his father sheesh
Good subject matter tho and interesing video.
And people, stop bickering. You're just making fools of yourselves.
Blessings.
"...oh, and I accepted Jesus into my life."
That kinda ruined it for me. The religious element seemed so forced, even to ME. But, to each their own?
Actually, when we talk about how God has completely changed our lives and given us purpose, it's the furthest thing from "forced" for us - He naturally flows out of our conversation because He's the center of our lives, the most important relationship in our lives.
Thanks again for your comments!

Other than that, It was a well-animated video and you're very good at making stop-motion videos (: Keep up the good video work.
Thanks again for the comments, Ryan.
Haha, like televangelists? Those people abuse and use their God so they can get money. They should become like non-profit organizations, and help the people who actually -need- the money
-not His followers, who sometimes mess up big time.-
Reminds me of the Catholic church.
I am 15 years old and am a confirmed Catholic-Christian.
Also take the time to read through the Bible John 3:16 is a great place to start, i don't care if you believe in God or not just take a look and think about everything.

Please watch this video too!!!
GREAT VIDEO
Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father (gets to Heaven) but through Me". (John 14:6) No religion, ideas or anything else can promise Heaven...only Jesus Himself.
Glad to hear you love humanity, Bill - so does God! Thanks again for your comments.
P.S. Sorry for the length. I just have an endless amount to say on this topic.
And btw I agree, amazing video
You are probably the only person i know that i can say this to:
You are the most open minded closed minded person i know.
When I say expand on thought I mean think progressively through your own reality and on your OWN thoughts. I don't care what you or anyone else says, Christianity are not YOUR thoughts. They are the thoughts of previous (uneducated I might add) persons.
Christians are not brainwashed, rather trapped in their own emotions. Fear of hell keeps them from disbelieving and the promise of heaven keeps them believing. Since you brought up the Santa Clause analogy I suppose I should expand on that;
Little impressionable kids believe in Santa because of the promise of presents. They are too afraid to not believe in him, however, for fear of coal in their stalkings.
Christianity is a textbook example of how to keep people believing and mentally trapped. It doesn't take a genius to know this formula... I think the Santa example proves that point at least. As i said before, Need is not quite belief. People believe in Christianity because they need it.
i dont care what you say or think, i was introduced to the idea of christianity and then from that discovered a god on my own.
He won't force Himself on you - the only way to know what others have experienced in Him is to give yourself to Him...otherwise yes, it's going to seem like craziness to you.
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?
Thanks, Epicurus, you're awesome!
When i started to stand up for the teased people started to come to me with there problems with out me asking "whats wrong" or "hows things going" Just want to say that your story is very true..... As Jesus stude up for his belifes and helped the weak so to have i become a simlar figuare in my school with out being the whole savior from god thing and some people call me jesus (because i use to have 15 inch long hair). i wish more people could heard this story.
